Paris in the rain
A Rainy Day in Paris 11/03/2022
This day started like any other. We got up. had our coffee, and got ready for the day. Linda checked the weather and saw that rain was coming. We walked over to a local market and checked it out. We decided since rain was coming, we would eat in tonight. We bought a rotisserie chicken, roasted potatoes, cornbread, and a dessert. We dropped everything off at our apartment and started our day. Since rain was coming, we thought the best thing to do would be to see Paris on the “Hop On, Hop Off” tour bus. The weather was nice, so we went up to the second deck. We got to the Concord Obelisk and looked toward the Arche de Triomphe. It was raining pretty hard in that direction. We then went to the lower deck before all the seats were taken. It started raining and continued to rain. We decided to get off at the Eiffel Tower, have lunch, and locate our hotel where we will move to on Saturday. The rain had slowed to a drizzle, so it was not too bad. After lunch, we got back on the tour bus and continued the trip. We decided to visit the Orsay Museum before calling it a day. When we got to the museum it seemed like every tourist in Paris thought as we did. Everyone wanted to be in out of the weather. Not much more to be said about today. We did get 11,000 steps in, had a nice view of Paris in the rain, and dinner was waiting for us in our apartment.
